1. Q. What is Gluten?
A. Gluten (Latin for Glue) is a combination of two proteins gliadin and glutenin naturally found in ALL forms of Wheat (including semolina, spelt, kamut, einkorn, faro and durum), Rye, Barley and triticale.
2. Q. Where is Gluten found?
A. Aside from the obvious foods like bread, pasta, pasty and beer, gluten is the most common source of a preservative and is most likely found in items that are packaged and required an extended shelf life. For example, canned or packaged food, hair products, toothpaste, make up and medications to name a few. A. 1 in 100 people are completely allergic to Gluten. 1 in 8 is intolerant to Gluten. Many people choose to go Gluten Free to support a healthier life style. Consult your Physician to find out if you have Celiac Disease or if you have a Gluten Sensitivity.
4. Q. Where are your Gluten Free products made?
A. All of Deanna's Products are baked in a 100% Gluten Free Bakery in Escondido, California, U.S.A. Our Breads are Soy Free, Nut Free, Tree Nut Free, Corn Free, Dairy Free, Shellfish Free and of course Gluten Free.
5. Q. What markets or grocery stores carry Deanna's Gluten Free products?
A. We distribute our Gluten Free Breads & Bread Products to Major Market, Jimbo's Naturally, Keils Market, Whole Foods, Healthy Creations and Ralphs in Southern California, we are always adding to the list. If you would like to request a store near you, let us know or talk to your grocery manager.
6. Q. Can I find Deanna's Gluten Free products in any restaurants?
A. Yes, all of major amusement parks will accommodate your gluten free and allergen free needs with Deanna's gluten free, allergen free and vegan breads, pastry and foods. Legoland, Sea World (upon request), Park Hyatt Aviara, Hilton - La Jolla, Omni Downtown San Diego, Rancho Bernardo Inn, Pala Resort & Casino and Enchantment Resort and Spa - Sedona, Arizona.
8. Q. Do you ship your products?
A. Yes, we do ship Deanna's Products all over the Nation. Her Gluten Free & Allergen Free Baked Goods require overnight delivery during warm weather months and 2nd day delivery in cooler months to ensure optimum freshness upon arrival. Once your breads arrive, we highly recommend freezing your purchase for the longest shelf life possible.
9. Q. What is the shelf life of your products?
A. Deanna's Gluten Free and Allergen Free Bread and Baked Goods are created without preservatives so extra care should be taken to ensure the longest shelf life possible. If stored at room temperature the breads will stay fresh for up to 7 days, 3 weeks if refrigerated or 3 months in the freezer. Deanna's products thaw without adverse effects and with a quick warm up in the toaster, your bread will taste fresh out of the oven.
